Balinese Resort-

This was a design that challenged me a lot as a designer. I went into this project having a very specific vision. I wanted all the spaces to feel fully secluded and like you were in the middle of the jungle. I wanted full foliage and forest surrounding the villas and other buildings, but found that this was incredibly difficult to do in SketchUp or in Revit. I did basic space planning for the individual buildings in Revit, but chose to do the rest by hand. I spent an excessive amount of time doing the site plan and it was massive but I think that it appropriately showed off my design concept and hopefully you can image the same feeling and design concept that I had.

Nature Parti Diagram

This shows one of the parti diagrams that inspired my design. I chose to base it off terracing, which is a farming practice that is common in Indonesia and other Asian countries.

Site Plan

I chose to do most of this project manually. I found that it was very difficult to execute my design vision properly with SketchUp or Revit. Each of the little green circles are meant to be trees or bushes. The site plan shows the villas (the smaller buildings organized in a circle), the lobby (in the bottom left), a wedding venue (bottom center), a restaurant (rectangle on the right), a pool, and a meditation garden.
