Solar Decathlon-

For this project, we were tasked with building an elementary school which also earned a lot of LEED credits and was sustainably focused. We worked in small groups to learn how to do full construction documents, familiarize ourselves with Revit for the first time, and learn how to do renderings and furniture plans as a group and with the support of each other. We came together as a class, at various checkpoints, to critique each others work.

North & South Elevations

In our design, we wanted to integrate color into the exterior of the building as it was made for kids and we wanted it to create visual interest rather than being a blocky average looking school. We also wanted to come up with an interesting roof to go above the gym and auditorium. I struggled a bit with making the roofing look exactly like I wanted to in Revit, but got an approximation.
